Ready to decorate your fence for the holidays?

One of the most fun parts of having a residential fence is getting to decorate it for the holidays! Whether you’re a seasoned decorating pro or not sure how to get started, here are some of our best suggestions for decorating your residential fence for the holidays!

Keep it Traditional

Traditional holiday decorations are called traditional for a reason! They are classic and look gorgeous no matter what the style of your home is. Traditional holiday fence décor typically consists of garland, holly, and wreaths evenly spaced along the length of the fence. Traditional residential fence décor is the perfect start for anyone who isn’t quite sure what their outdoor décor style is yet.

A Tropical Christmas

If you would much rather be in sunny Florida or the tropics instead of chilly Maryland for the holidays, decorate your yard using luau-style decorations. Add pink flamingos to your yard, as well as inflatable palm trees and tiki torches. This fun spin on holiday fence décor will set your house apart from every other one on the street. If you’re really feeling creative, add an inflatable Santa Claus with some sunglasses or a Hawaiian shirt.

A Light Show

If you love holiday lights, your residential fence is a great way to showcase your passion. Whether you use bright white lights or every color of the rainbow, decorating your fence with them is a fun way to light up the night. Choose smaller light strands so that you don’t need to nail down the wires to your fence. Avoid leaving your fence lights turned on for long periods of time, or it could damage your fence.

Don’t Forget Your Trees

Do you have trees near the residential fence in your yard? A fun way to tie your whole yard together is also decorating the trees in your yard. Hang string lights or oversized ornaments from the branches for a fun look. If you don’t want to climb up a ladder, you can always tie a beautiful holiday wreath around the trunk instead.
