  • Residential Chain Link Fence Benefits

    Residential Chain Link Fence

When it comes to owning a residential home, there are many decisions that need to be made for both the interior and exterior design of your home. One of the decisions that homeowners must decide on is the type of fence they would like. With so many fencing options to choose from, making a decision can be a difficult one. A residential chain link fence holds several benefits that many homeowners fail to recognize.

Why a Residential Chain Link Fence?

    1. Maintenance- Most homeowners live hectic and busy lives. A residential chain link fence requires little to know maintenance. This means that homeowners who are always on the run can relax when it comes to maintaining their fence. If you are worried about rust, have a vinyl coat placed on your fence to increase its life.
    2. Installation- The installation of a residential chain link fence is one of least invasive and difficult installations to complete. It also allows the installation to be done quickly yet effectively.
    3. Safety- A residential chain link fence provides a safe area for your family to play and relax. A chain link fence keeps children and pets within your yard while deterring any wild animals or strangers.
    4. Cost- Chain link fences are one of the least costly fences to install. The fence is affordable while still being effective for your residential fencing needs.

  • Chain Link Fencing for Commercial Fencing

Chain Link Fencing for Commercial Fencing

A sign easily attached to a chain link fence.

Those who own commercial property are always finding ways to better protect their property. There are several ways that owners can protect their property using fencing. With a variety of materials to choose from, picking the best material for your use can be difficult. While wood and vinyl fencing can be aesthetically pleasing, a chain link fence can be customized to protect your property while also being easy on your budget.

Chain link fences can come in 3 different styles to suit the needs of your commercial property. These styles include:

    • Interior Chain Link Cage- Chain link fence caging can be typically found as protection for mechanical enclosures, safety light panels in garages, and even dividers in apartment complexes.
    • Vinyl Coated Chain Link Fence- This fencing style allows you to have the security of a chain link fence while never sacrificing curb appeal. Commercial property that will have customers coming and going should consider this style to make their business appear welcoming and appealing.
    • Galvanized Chain Link Fence- This fencing can be used for security purposes while never sacrificing the ability to see past the property.

When using a chain link fence for security, you also have the option of adding extra layers by way of barb wire, razor ribbon, and concertina wire if necessary. Chain link fencing also allows signs to be easily attached that include information like notices, advertisements, and safety regulations. A chain link fence also works to deter and prevent criminal activity on your commercial property like theft, vandalism, and loitering. Chain link fencing installed using a tension wire on the bottom can also help prevent wildlife from digging underneath your fence and gaining access to your property.

At Hercules Fence, we specialize in the installation and maintenance of chain link fencing for commercial use. Our technicians will speak with you to determine the needs and goals you have for your fence. Once we have our guidelines, we will determine which type of chain link fence will best meet your needs. • Chain Link versus PVC Fencing: Which is best?

neighborhood gateSo you are now a homeowner. Typically, having a home also means having a yard. What happens if your new yard doesn’t have a fence, or the fence that is currently guarding your yard might not be to your satisfaction? Looks like you have a decision to make about what fencing to have around your yard. There are many choices available to you in the world of fencing. Two of the more commonly seen fences are chain link fences and PVC fences. Which should you choose? Here are some topics to think about when making your decision:

    1. Strength: How strong will my fence be?
    2. Quality: How will the materials of my fence hold up?
    3. Aesthetic Appeal: How will my fence look?

When it comes to a chain link fence, strength will not be a problem. Chain link fencing can be made with a coating to make it safer to touch and to last longer. Chain link fencing has been a prominent feature in many neighborhoods throughout the years. The coating helps make the fence more pleasing to the eye and enables the fence to coordinate with the color of the homeowner’s house.

PVC fencing is becoming a more recognized staple in communities. PVC fencing is made from polyvinyl chloride which allows it to be durable and flexible. Due to its material, PVC fencing won’t show every day wear and tear like discoloration, chips, or rust.

Both fencing is reasonably priced and can easily fit in with any community or neighborhood. PVC fencing could be used for a more private homeowner, while chain link fences could be used for someone who wants to see their neighbor. PVC fencing can be more costly in comparison to chain link fencing, but won’t need regular maintenance like chain link fencing, possibly saving money over a longer period of time.

At Hercules Fence, we specialize in helping you make the right decision when choosing a fence. We have six locations in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. We are trained to help guide you in choosing the correct materials for your fencing and to help you feel confident in the decision that you make. We understand that fencing not only adds value to your property, but can also help turn a house into a home. The ideal tennis court fence will protect people and animals outside the tennis court from being injured by tennis balls. Tennis players inside the court will have no need to chase down errant shots.

What is our recommendation for tennis court fence type?

Hercules Fence recommends a chain-link fencing because this type of fencing is highly durable, affordable and easy to install.

The tennis court fence will feature metal pipe posts and chain mesh for support. The tennis court fence design can include rails or not. It’s up to you.

When designing a tennis fence, it is important to account for fence height and the gap height from the bottom of the fence to the court surface.

We highly recommend that your tennis fence include access gates to provide convenience for accessibility.

There should be at least one double gate present to  allow machinery to access the tennis court. Gate hinges to provide Tennis Players easy operation of gates.

Here are other fence styles to consider:

    • Galvanized Fencing
    • Timber Fencing
    • Vinyl Fencing

  • School Playground Fences: What is the Best Fencing?

Do you need to install a school playground fence? If yes, Hercules Fence is here to help you create the safest school playground area.

A playground fence purpose is to keep children safe while keeping hazards out.

When deciding on the best fencing for your playground, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Hercules Fence is here to tell you what to consider before purchasing your playground fence materials. It all has to do with the children’s needs and safety being equally valued in importance.

The first question you should ask yourself is whether children can climb the fence. A playground fence should never be easily climbed over by children. Playground fences are meant to be tall enough to keep children safe and contained.

To make it challenging for children to climb the playground fence, the fence should be at least 4 ft high. You may even want to install an un-climbable fence such as solid wood fencing or vinyl privacy fencing. The two-fence types allow no footholds for climbing. You can also use a chain link fencing if the mesh holes are no more than 25mm.

Next, make sure the fence enclosure you decide upon doesn’t pose any additional threats to your playground. A playground already has enough opportunities for children to be injured. To make your fence as safe for children as possible, make sure the fence installed has no pointed edges or poked out wires.

Wood and vinyl fencing do not have many sharp corners or edges. If going to a chain link fence, have the fence coated with polyvinyl to make a cushion against the wire mesh. And always avoid any fence with bars four inches apart. This is a death trap for children if heads become entrapped.

  • Hercules Fence Donates Dog Run Fence to Humane Society

Happy Dog Enjoys New Dog Run Fence at Montgomery County Humane Society.

It is a pleasure for Hercules Fence to do its part in making the community a better place to live and work. Recently, Hercules Fence donated a beautiful dog run fence to the Montgomery County Humane Society (MCHS).

Hercules Fence received a message from Shari Kalina, a volunteer with the Montgomery County Humane Society in Rockville, Maryland about the shelter being very much in need of a local fencing company that could provide and install approximately 100 feet of chain link fencing on their shelter grounds so the dogs could have a place to exercise off-leash.

Prior to the completion of the fencing project, the dogs lacked space to run around. The dogs need living space beyond their cages and a dog run provides the dogs a space to have fun and exercise while increasing their chances of getting adopted.

Bruce and many other volunteers have said the dog run fence has made a tremendous difference lifestyle improvement for the shelter dogs. The Montgomery County Humane Society is thankful Hercules Fence has made this project into a reality. The Humane Society has created a plaque to thank Hercules Fence for this very important contribution to the well being of their shelter dogs. The plaque is mounted on the pen.

MCHS Gives Hercules Fence A Plaque to Thank Us For The Donation.

  • Temporary Fences: How To Benefit From Temporary Fencing

If you are considering installing a temporary fence, Hercules Fence is here to help you install one that meets your needs without sacrificing style. Read to learn about temporary fences and the benefits they can provide you and your property.

Temporary fences are often lightweight fencing designs composed of multiple pieces or sections put together to form different perimeter shapes and sizes.

Temporary fencing is great for construction sites but can be used for any industry.

The following are exceptional temporary fencing:

    Chain-Link Fencing

This fencing consists of interwoven steel wires that create a distinctive diamond pattern. It makes for good temporary fencing because it is rot resistant, has a low risk of toppling, and makes it easy for construction managers to watch over work sites. The fence is beneficial for both safety reasons and protecting property from trespassers.

    Welded Wire Panel Fencing

As for welded panel fencing, the wire mesh panel is welded between two posts. The units can be arranged in any orientation without unrolling, cutting, or attaching anything.

This temporary fence is more stable than the chain link fence because the spaces are smaller between its wires. This fencing makes it challenging for potential intruders to climb welded wire panel fences. Potential intruders do not have enough space to a grip or a solid foot on the fence making it great for property security enhancement.

    Plastic Fencing

If you need help with crowd control, plastic fencing is great for regulating traffic flow. Police, security companies, and concert managers use this fencing to set perimeters.

The fencing comes in a wide array of shapes, colors, and styles. Some are stackable while others are folded up to make them convenient for carrying.

    Dog Fence Kits

If you need temporary residential fencing, use a dog fence kit. A dog fence kit is easy to install with stakes and posts. Simply wrap around the fabric or plastic mesh material to setup this temporary fence.

Hercules Fence will help you make the right decisions while keeping you in your budget.

Hercules Fence has a superb reputation for quality service and products. For example, we installed a fence for Harrison Tyler, one of the living grandsons of the 10th President of the United States, John Tyler.
